Our Trip to the New Director’s Conference 2017

It’s hard to believe that we have been back from California for five days!!!

Earlier this month, my husband Jack and I had the privilege of attending an all expense paid Shaklee conference in the San Francisco Bay area. I had worked my business over the past two years to have been able to earn this conference for both of us to attend!

I didn’t think it would be a big deal for me, but boy was I wrong!

Checking into our beautiful hotel, I realized how good it felt to be able to provide an experience for my family that we otherwise wouldn’t be able to have! Also, it’s nice to be recognized for the hard work we’ve put into our business the past couple of years.

I thought it was super exciting to come back to your hotel room every night and find gifts. Water bottles, umbrellas, commemorative photos, it really didn’t matter WHAT the gift was but the feeling that we got when we walked into our room and someone tried to make us feel special. THAT was amazing!!!

Amazing training and a tour of Shaklee’s headquarters!

22539823 10159367003235548 1503872150078715902 n — To be at the home office was a unique experience in itself. We got a tour of the home office and the brand new science innovation center. Maxi was able to tour the home office together with us and we were all impressed by the many innovative features that had been integrated to make the building environmentally responsible.

We heard from Shaklee’s chairman and CEO, Roger Barnett. We heard from field leaders across the organization about the trials and successes they have had with their businesses. We heard from support staff at the home office. We were welcomed ON A GREEN CARPET! Truly Shaklee style!

Our food was taken care of all along the way. On the first night, we were welcomed at a welcome reception (with food) at the hotel. We then got coupons for a huge and wonderful all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet at our hotel. We couldn’t even eat this much so Maxi and Benni were able to enjoy those! Lunch was served at home office and we loved the fresh and delicious choices they had for us!

At night, we were treated to a very special dinner at Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery.

It was a very elegant affair and we got to spend some time with our chairman and CEO Roger Barnett and our president of Shaklee North America and Canada, Heather Chastain.

Spending a few extra days taking a vacation – because we could!!! Both, financially and time-wise!

It was wonderful to be able to spend a few extra days in the bay area. We were able to see Alcatraz which had been on my and Jack’s bucket list. So much fun!!!
