How I got started
In 2014, I was looking for natural cleaners when I stumbled across Shaklee. At that point in my life, I felt that our family was a mess and that I was failing as a Mom and wife.
You see, I felt it was my job to keep our family healthy but it seemed as if we were all struggling. Maxi had a history of asthma and was dealing with multiple skin issues such as acne and eczema. Her dermatologist prescribed creams that made our towels go from purple to pink and I was afraid what these harsh products were going to do to her health. Despite being sick all the time, she had just finished a very challenging high school program and was figuring out which college to go to.
Meanwhile, Benni was demanding my full attention. The meningitis had left him with a processing disorder that affected all aspects of his life. Because of his academic challenges, we had decided to homeschool him. Keeping him safe was a daily challenge for me and had me feeling stressed out at all times. When he ended up eating some of Maxi’s Nair cream, I was determined to find natural cleaning products that would not harm him should he decide to take a sip. When I found Shaklee’s cleaners, I was excited to hear that they were not only safe for him but that they might benefit Maxi as well. I couldn’t wait to try them and I wasn’t disappointed!!!
Jack had been supportive all along but he had been dealing with muscular dystrophy since I met him. The increased stress of dealing with all the complications of Benni’s meningitis exaggerated the constant pain in his hands and feet. Thankfully, soon after trying out Shaklee’s other products, we started to feel so much better! Jack found that one of the products helped him with his pain from muscular dystrophy and Benni’s focus was increased by a combination of the natural nutritional products. That and adding some nutrition to my daily life, helped me get my stress levels under control.
The improvements were so drastic that I couldn’t keep the excitement to myself. I wanted others to not miss out! Soon, I was receiving monthly bonus checks and some of my friends (and Maxi) decided to join me in spreading the word. The world around me became healthier – one family at a time! By now, our beautiful and amazing team has helped bring health and holistic wellness to hundreds of families and that number grows every single day. Every day, I am grateful for this beautiful and amazing life I get to live and that I get to help families be empowered in their health choices. My biggest goal is to provide as much value and education to my team and customers as possible.
