According to an article I just read, half of the paper consumed in the U.S. every year is used to wrap and decorate consumer products. Yikes! That’s why I like to use recycled gift wrap for most of my presents. Just check around your home and gather old maps, paper bags, old calendars, posters and more. I keep a plastic tub full of maps that I use for gift wrap and I love it. As I come across reusable papers, I just add them to my gift wrapping tub!

There are so many benefits to doing this! It keeps a good portion of your paper out of landfills and extends its usable life. It also keeps us from having to buy gift wrap, saving us valuable time and money. Lastly, it makes our gifts look super cute and unique, and hopefully inspires others to do the same!
