Cran-Elderberry Boost Smoothie

With flu season just around the corner and us still being in a pandemic, my focus has been on nutrient dense and immune function supporting foods. This smoothie tastes yummy and does that just!

Cranberries are rich in vitamin C and help lessen the risk of urinary tract infection in women who get them often. When selecting cranberries, it’s best to choose fresh or frozen cranberries over dried cranberries since many dried cranberries contain added sugar.

Adding a date to this smoothie, helps balance the tartness of the cranberries and adds some polyphenols which can protect your body from inflammation to your smoothie. Enjoy!
